Excitement is building across campus as Monache students get ready for “Luau 2.0,” a tropical-themed event celebrating the graduating senior class. Hosted by Monache ASB, the event will take place Friday, May 22, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., and is open to all PUSD students with a valid school ID.
The announcement, shared on social media with the slogan “Aloha to the Seniors,” has already gained attention among students eager for one final celebration before the school year ends. Decorated with Hawaiian-inspired graphics and island themes, the luau promises a fun night filled with music, dancing, and school spirit.
Tickets will cost $10 at the door, making the event affordable for students looking to spend time with friends before graduation season officially begins. ASB members say the event is meant to bring students together and create lasting memories for seniors as they prepare to say goodbye to high school life.
Many students are especially excited because this year’s event is being called “Luau 2.0,” hinting at a bigger and more energetic experience than previous dances. From tropical decorations to upbeat music, organizers hope the night captures the feeling of a true island celebration.
As the countdown to graduation continues, students say events like these are important because they give classmates one last opportunity to connect, celebrate achievements, and enjoy their final weeks together.
With summer approaching and emotions running high for the Class of 2025, “Luau 2.0” is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated events of the school year.
