On Monday September 27th, the Volleyball teams hosted Tulare Union High School. Frosh, JV, and Varsity all came out strong sweeping The Tribe and coming away with an easy win.

The Frosh team remains undefeated going 2-0 this game. The energy on the court is really the core behind their tempo. The girls all looked focused and their coach was happy the entire game. She reports that when the defense is strong, the sets and hits are there & today the defense was on point making both games successful.

JV is on a roll as well, going 2-0 to take yet another win. This is one of the best teams when it comes to connectivity. These girls run a great offense and pick up almost everything on defense. Opposing teams are having a hard time getting by them because they’re always finding a way to pick up the ball. With some mistakes being made, these girls learn from them quickly & come back way harder the next point.

Varsity seems to be finding their groove, they went 3-0 to completely defeat TUHS. The first game started slow but once they got some points up there, they pushed and took the first set. The second set was basically a breeze, winning 25-7, with junior Jaaci Patterson, serving a 16 point run. They finished a little bit slow, winning the last game 25-23, which was a little too close for varsity coach Lisa Davis’ liking but she expresses that she’s just glad they took them in 3 games. Overall the girls are looking good and will travel to play Delano on Wednesday.
