With our volleyball season coming to an end, we want to show some recognition to our fellow Panthers. We will start off with Bella Yorba, number 13 on the court. Bella is one of the most hardworking players on the Panther team, with incredible determination and confidence to better herself and others around her in the sport she loves to play the most.
Bella Yorba’s favorite team memory was when her whole team gathered at her house for a team bonding moment. Bella loves to give amazing feedback to her team. Here is what Bella said for our fellow JV and Frosh team: “Never give up, keep pushing, and never stop doing what you’re doing.” Bella’s thoughts on how the season ended were not what she expected. Bella shared, “Our season was filled with a lot of ups and downs. I do feel we could have done better in some situations, but at the end of it, this season gave us an awakening on how we can learn and become better as a team.”
Moving on to number 11 on the court, Addison Clower. This is her first year at Porterville High School and her first time playing for the Porterville varsity volleyball team. She shared with us that being able to bond with her team has made a huge impact on the way they are able to play and communicate with each other. Some words of encouragement Addison gave to the fellow JV and Frosh team were, “Always believe in yourself and never doubt what you can do.” Addison also shared with us that her season wasn’t great, but she did say, “Our season was fun and very intense. I do think we could’ve ended better, but at the end of the day we all did great.”
With this news, I think our fellow Panther volleyball team did amazing, and they kept up with a strong Panther grind. Our Lady Panthers went 24–10 for their overall record.
