Volleyball vs TWHS

Frosh and JV Takedown the Mustangs, Varsity Falls Short

On Monday, September 20th, the volleyball teams took on Tulare Western. The Frosh team beat the Mustangs in two games playing great defense to come back from a loss of points at the beginning of game one. Overall once the team got their momentum going they were very energetic and used that energy to get the “W”.

The JV team also won in two games. The hitters were swinging hard and the back row was ready for every ball that came over. This match-up proved to be an easy win for them.

Their first game back from a team quarantine did not go as well as the team had hoped, and the varsity team was lost to the Mustangs in three games. After the game head coach, Lisa Davis talked with her team about their outlook on the loss. “This team is so bright and full of talent. We made some silly mistakes that we will improve on, but never let one game determine your whole season. We still have so far to go.” With those encouraging words, the girls are taking that energy into the rest of their practices this week and gearing up for their next upcoming game Thursday, September 23rd here in the Sharman Gym. Some of the girls shared that they felt like this game was an off game for everyone, but they’re also ready to move forward.
