Last night (December 15) the Lady Panthers had a basketball game at Porterville High School against Roosevelt High School. Varsity did great. They started off slow then sped up by 2nd quarter. After they kept speed throughout the whole game. Roosevelt High had a big team. The girls were very tall. Varsity had to make more outside shots due to the post not being an option most of the time. Gracie Magana, Mariah Castanon, and Nseij Ortiz hit the outside shots. Krizzlyn Balboa and Davina Lopez had good moves close to the basket. Porterville High School won 64-37. As for Jv they did well. Zahra Rayani made some great passes to the post player, Norissa Franco. Kalea Mariboho had great control over the ball and penetrated very strongly. Aliya Gibson did great with cutting to the hoop for an easy layup. Zahra and Morgynn Wylie did great on anticipating passes for turnovers. Porterville Panthers won
