Panthers Take On Barbie
“It is the best day ever. So was yesterday and so is today and everyday from now until forever.”
This year’s 2023 Back to school assembly was Barbie-themed. From Barbie Land to Porterville High School, the assembly took us on an exciting adventure. What a great way to kick off the school year! This year’s assembly is based on the 2023 Barbie movie. The assembly started off in Barbie Land showing the perfect pretty pink land with the Barbies having a party. With the thought of becoming a marauder, Barbie travels from Barbie Land to Porterville High School to show what real high school is like. Barbie and Ken realize they like Panther territory more than Barbie Land. The assembly had special guests like our principal, Mr. Valdez, and our PUSD Assistant Superintendent Dr. Martha Stuemky and PUSD School Board Member Juan Figueroa in attendance, as well as a guest speaker from Fresno State, Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, Kent Willis. Thank you to everyone who participated and attended the Assembly. It’s GREAT to be a Panther!
