Harry Potter Movies Ranked #1-8

Harry Potter is one of the best film series to watch during the winter. If you have not yet watched the movies and would like to know more, here are all 8 films ranked best to worst according to Rotten Tomatoes.

Coming in at #1 with 96% on Rotten Tomatoes, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2” book 7, movie 8. In this film, Harry, Ron, and Hermione, prepare for their last battle against the dark Lord Voldemort. The trio is on the hunt for seven Horcruxes created by Lord Voldemort that keep him immortal.

Next on the list coming in at #2 with 90% is, “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” book 3 movie 3. In this film, Harry, Ron, and Hermione, start their third year at Hogwarts. Harry is warned that a deranged killer, Sirius Black, has escaped from Azkaban prison and is looking for the young wizard, though he has yet to learn what Sirius Black has in store for him.

#3 on Rotten Tomatoes with 88% is, “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” book 4 movie 4. In this fourth film Hogwarts is chosen to hold the upcoming wizard tournament between three schools, with one participant chosen by the goblet of fire from each school. Unexpectedly, Harry Potter, who is not eligible to participate in the tournament, is selected by the goblet of fire.

Coming in at #4 with 84% is, “Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince” book 6, movie 6. In this 6th film, Hogwarts is no longer safe for students, as the Death Eaters have escaped.

Next on the list at #5 with 82% is, “Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets” book 2, movie 2. In the second film, Harry, Ron and Hermione return to Hogwarts for their second year. They discover messages written in blood, covering the walls of the school. Harry learns about the infamous, Tom Riddle, that leads them to his battle with the Basilisk.

#6 on Rotten Tomatoes with 81% is, the first book, “Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone” movie 1. This film is where all the magic begins. 11 year old Harry Potter, is introduced to the wizarding world and begins his first year at Hogwarts. Harry learns about the Sorcerer’s Stone and “he who must not be named” and how it can keep this evil wizard immortal.

Coming in at #7 with 77% is, “Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 1” book 7, movie 7. In movie 7, Harry, Ron, and Hermione are on a mission to find and destroy all of the Horcruxes. The “Golden Trio” is really put to the test in this film as the Horcrux tries it’s best to tear them apart and betray each other. Lord Voldemort’s Death Eaters have taken over The Ministry of Magic, alongside Hogwarts. All students at Hogwarts prepare for what is to come.

Last but certainly not least coming in at #8 with 78%, “Harry Potter and The Order of Phoenix” book 5, movie 5. In this film, Dolores Umbridge makes her way through Hogwarts. No one is found of her new rules and changes to Hogwarts as they may be considered “harsh” or even “evil.” Harry takes matters into his own hands and starts a secret training for some students in a hidden room in the castle walls. He prepares them or the darkness to come.
