The different things students are giving up for Lent
Lent is a 40-day season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends at sundown on Holy Thursday. It’s a period to celebrate Lord’s Resurrection at Easter. The 40 days represent the time Jesus spent in the Wilderness, enduring the temptation of Satan and preparing to begin his ministry.
