Tennis Finishes EYL Undefeated
The girls tennis team won the EYL as an undefeated team. Individually Elle and Sierra are moving on into Area! Due to the girls winning EYL undefeated, they got to have a pizza party at Poor Richards. As of now the girls tennis team moved further into playoffs. They went to the coast to play against Righetti High School in Santa Maria. Phs won 5-4 with some complications. In the singles Elle Muak, Sierra Weisenberger, Rylee Jones, all won. In doubles Zahra Rayani and Aracely Perez lost the first set and came back during the second set, then ended up winning the tie breaker. Meanwhile Rylee Jones and Delaney Nix were winning and unfortunately Delaney Nix had a malfunction with her eye. Sadly, they had to forfeit the game which meant that the two teams were tied 4-4. All the pressure was on Sierra and Elle, and of course they didn’t let them down. They Won smoothly and put the team score at 5-4! The team is now moving into the quarter finals in Paso Robles on Tuesday November 2nd.
