Our teacher of the week is Mrs. Gill, an English teacher who is a part of our health department.

“My name is Shelley Gill, and I teach English. I’m originally from this area, I went to Strathmore, and I moved to Porterville for high school. I attended Fresno state, and I originally went to be a lawyer, and while I was taking different law classes, they had to do with journalism which made me switch my major to journalism. I was teaching at burton middle school before I came here. Some things I like to do outside of school include playing with my dog hazel, spending time with my son, we love to go to the movies especially marvel movies, and I try to read as much as I can. Before coming as a teacher, I worked as a journalist on NBC channel 24 under the alias Denise Thomas’s.”
