The Girls’ Cross Country Team attended the Mt. Whitney race on Friday, September 24, hosted at Mt. Whitney High School. On the team this year are: Joslen Jiminez (Junior), Itzel Ferrer (Junior), Giselle Alcantar (Junior), Estrella Limones (Freshman), Araceli Vazquez (Senior), Ariana Gil Mendoza (Sophomore), and Jesemany Armenta (Freshman). The team competed against seven schools and ended up placing sixth overall with a score of 144. Here are theoverall the results from the race: Buchanan (16), Redwood (Visalia) (58), Monache (100), Golden West (102), Mission Oak (137), Exeter (164), and Lemoore (198). The team’s next race will be on Friday, October 1, at 11:00 a.m. at Madera High school.
