What it’s like visiting the beach

My first time going to the beach was charming. I visited Santa Monica Pier with my sister, brother-in-law, and two nieces. The car ride was long, but I had fun at the end of the day. We went for two days. I really loved it to the point that I just wanted to stay there for the whole week, but sadly I couldn’t because I had school- even though it was online school. There were some days I would go to in-person school. Santa Monica is such a nice place; the food there is good, even though half of the places are vegetarian. At night the fairest wheel looked so pretty with lights and everything.
We were riding the scooters they had; it was really fun. My niece didn’t know how to ride scooters, so she kept falling, which was the funniest thing. The hotel we stayed at was lovely, even though the hallways were creepy. We walked around, and we found some cool places. It is so much different from a lot of places. The people there were nice. The water felt so nice, besides the fact that I got dropped by a wave and salt water went into my mouth. I got really burnt because I thought it was a bright idea not to wear sunscreen. When we went to the pier, I thought we would fall into the water because it kept hitting where we were standing. But at the end of the day, I had fun and would go again. Many people across the United States don’t get to experience what it is like to live near the ocean, so I’m glad to be lucky enough to live near the Pacific Ocean.
