State Qualifier for Extemporaneous Speaking

FFA President Brenna Galloway, who has been a member of FFA since her freshman year, is heading to state for extemporaneous speaking. Brenna has participated in public speaking since her freshman year. She has competed in Impromptu and Job Interview, which she says “have both prepared me for Extemporaneous this year.” For the state competition, Brenna is allowed 500 pages worth of information, which she has been preparing for since the beginning of the year. She includes, “I then have been practicing my speeches since February with my ag teacher, Mrs. Helm.” Brenna’s first competition was against Tulare County schools in February, where she placed second overall. She then competed against twenty-four people in our region, placing third. On her way to the state qualifications, Brenna is well-prepared and ready to take on the competition.

Congratulations, Brenna! Be sure to wish her luck as she competes in Extemporaneous on Thursday, April 20th.
