Throughout the season our boy’s and girls’ basketball teams have battled hard and both teams earned themselves a spot in the CIF state playoffs. The girl’s basketball team has won seven and only dropped three games out of the ten league games they have played. The Lady Panthers started off the season making a statement by blowing out their opponent Mt. Whitney by an astonishing thirty-five points. However, the boy’s basketball team started off on the wrong foot as they were defeated in their first two league games against Mt. Whitney and Redwood. Despite losing two close games, the team did not let that discourage them and quickly bounced back the following week conquering Golden West with a score of seventy-one to forty. In fact, the boy’s basketball team then went on to win their next eight games. Both the girls and boys basketball teams made it to the Central Section Valley championship games this past week but both teams fell short and were defeated. That does not mean their season is over though! The two teams are looking to add another game to their win columns tomorrow in the first round of the CIF State playoffs here at home in the Sharman Gym at 5pm and 7pm.
