Self-Love
With valentines day just around the corner, it’s the season of love. It’s important to show love not only to the people around you but to yourself, too. Self-love is one of many things people struggle with. Always comparing yourself to famous people online or just someone who looks “better than you” is not an act of self-love. Self-love is a state of appreciation for oneself that grows from actions that support our physical, psychological, and spiritual growth. Self-love means having a high regard for your well-being and happiness. It should be made a habit of taking care of your own needs and not sacrificing your well-being to please others. Don’t settle for less than you deserve. If someone tells you that you look a certain way, don’t change because they tell you; change because YOU want to, or DON’T change at all. Do not let people tell you otherwise because if you do, it gets to your head, and that’s why you think the worst about yourself and don’t have self-love. Remember always to love yourself.
