Adopt-A-Star

What does it mean to adopt a star? Adopting a star means giving back to those in the community that aren’t as fortunate to receive what they want, and this gives us not only as students but as people the to make someone else’s Christmas special.  Due to covid, we were not able to do this for the past three years so this year will be the return of the yearly tradition. Before then the tradition has been around for well over 10 years. We asked ASB director Ms.Reveim what her thoughts were on the tradition “Personally the reason I enjoy it so much is because it gives us a chance to step out of the rallies and assemblies and it really just shows how we can come together not only as a school but as a community to give back to the kids. I really enjoy seeing the seniors step up and play a big role in this tradition. I like to think of it as a paying it forward kind of thing and I think it’s a tradition that will continue for many years.”

How do you adopt a star? Adopting a star is really simple, you can go to any adopt a star location here on campus and could choose any star of your choice. The star you choose has a list of gifts they would like for Christmas. You can choose any gift on their list, buy it and bring the unwrapped gift to the ASB room (S-3) before Dec. 9th. The Adopt-A-Star locations are spread throughout the campus. (S-3 Hill), (T-5 Bravo), (M-6 Morales), (H-206 K.Sanders), (H-203 Odsather), and (Girls Locker Room Revheim).
