Hey Panthers,

I’m Juan Sotelo and I have the privilege of serving as ASB Leadership President. As a senior third-year member of ASB, I am excited to lead the class alongside my peers.

Our theme for the year is “Back To The Future and Beyond”. This mindset draws back to our focus on “bringing back” the spirit and overall school culture that Porterville High School is known for. We’ve been met with unique challenges throughout our time at PHS, and this is our chance to leave our legacy as the class that brought it back. We hope to provide shared experiences that will last a lifetime.

While ASB is hard at work providing opportunities to get involved, it’s up to you to make the choice to participate. I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and allow yourself to make memories. Dress up for that spirit day, go to that game, sit in the hype squad, etc. You are the main character in your own high school coming-of-age movie. Leave it up to ASB to set the scene for you. Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year!

 What can we expect from ASB this year? 

“You can expect a lot more of everything, bringing back the hype, the rallies will be everything that they once were” 

 When is our next school event?

 “We have already had our first dress-up day Hawaiian day, and we have a week of welcome and a back-to-school rally next week Aug 26. Our first home football game is the 25th and we will always have an open tailgate”.
