Earlier this year, there was a spike in children getting COVID-19. In various of those cases, children were hospitalized and had prolonged their COVID-19 symptoms. Yesterday, November 2, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) openly stated that the Pfizer-BioNTech is safe for children ages five to eleven. The side effects of the vaccine on children has been similar to adults who have gotten the vaccine. The vaccine is reported to protect children from getting COVID-19, as well as keep them safe from the side effects COVID-19. The vaccine is now strongly recommended for children by the CDC.
