This week we sat down with Mrs. Entenman our amazing PHS AERO and Auxillary teacher. Mrs. Entenman is a leader in the AERO academy and someone students look up to and adore. In this interview, we got a much closer look into her life in high school back in the 90s, and what led her back to Porterville High.
What year did you graduate from Porterville High School?
1991
Where did you go to College?
Cal Poly Slo, I majored in Ag engineering and then I got a masters in engineering with a concentration in water.
How long have you been teaching AERO at PHS?
Since 2010, so this is my 15th year.
What’s your favorite memory from highschool?
Cheering for the Monache vs Porterville basketball and football games.
Who was your favorite teacher when you were a student?
Mr. Bill Johnson
What type of music were you listening to?
Lots of Country
What was your Career goal during highschool?
I wanted to become an engineer
How did PHS prepare you for adulthood?
It helped me get into Cal Poly
What was one lesson that high school taught you?
To be kind to everyone
What brought you back to PHS?
Norita, the old secretary. She knew I was moving back to town. She convinced me to come sub. So I started subbing, then I got my credential and started teaching.
