Throughout this week, the Red Cross and Zonta Club of Porterville High will have an exhibit called the Lisa Project, organized in partnership with the Tulare County Child Abuse Prevention Council. The Lisa Project is a ten-minute interactive experience exhibit, and its target is to educate the public and bring awareness to the reality of child abuse and family violence. The exhibit will have different rooms which tell the story of abuse from a child’s perspective. Throughout the showcase, the students will listen to a child narration audio telling their stories of violence. Information on local resources will be available to the public so that they can discover what aids are available for those in similar situations. The Lisa Project will bring the truth of child abuse to light to encourage intervention and prevention of child abuse.
