Cross Country at the Roosevelt Invitational

The Boys’ Cross Country team participated in the Roosevelt Invitational Meet along with over 50 other schools including Bakersfield, Lemoore, and Reedley. The team placed 9th out of 50 schools, led by junior, Dominic Welsh, and senior Misael Lopez. The team’s overall score was 421 and Roosevelt’s was 416. Mr. Salas, the coach for both the Boys’ and Girls’ Cross Country Teams shared, “The boys are now ranked #3 in Division 4 and #27 in the entire Central Section. Also, this is the first time the Boys have beaten Monache in my tenure as the Head Coach of PHS.”

The Girls’ Cross Country team also competed at the Roosevelt Invitational and placed 20th out of 48 schools, again led by freshman, Estrella Limones. The Girls’ Team’s overall score was 583 and Roosevelts was 414.
